EqG:StH2 - Story Update #16 - The Knuckles Show and More · 2:04am May 19th

So I want to post an update blog in regards to my story. But first, I want to talk about a certain show that has been on my mind for some time. That show I'm talking about was the Knuckles show, or more accurately... the Wade show. 
I talked about it in my non-spoiler review. Long story short, while it has some fun moments... I wasn't a big fan of the show and I felt that it could've done better. And at the end of my review, I said that I'm going to skip "Knuckles" in my story series because I think that the show didn't have a big impact on the next upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
However, someone pointed out that we still don't know what the next movie is going to be like and how much of the Knuckles show will impact the third film. And even so, they also mentioned that I could still potentially write whatever I want and make it my own interpretation of the show as a challenge as a writer, which were excellent points.
And not gonna lie, even after I watched the show, I keep having ideas running in my head of how the show should have done and how some MLP/EqG characters will involve in that scenario to the point that I'm feeling– dare to say... inspired! 
So after some thoughts and consideration... I decided to include the Knuckles show for my Sonic/EqG universe. 
However, there are two conditions to this. 
The first condition, as mentioned, if I'm going to write a Knuckles show adaptation to my series, I will give it my own approach to how the story is going to go. In other words, it will be completely different than what we got from the actual show. Maybe some aspects here and there, but that's it. 
The second condition, and I'm still thinking on this, but I'll either write a short standalone story with a few chapters based on the show or write a few chapters based on the show alongside with the upcoming chronicle story spin-off of the series. It won't be as lengthy as the other two main stories since it was originally a TV show. I'm mostly leaning on the second option, but a standalone story isn't completely off the table.
Either way, my main focus for now is my second Sonic/EqG story and the third movie comes out this December, so we shall see.
Speaking of which, I'm currently working on the next chapter of EqG: Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but there's going to be a slight delay before it was finished.
Why? Because I'm also writing the first chapter of another EqG/Sonic story! 
Unlike the first two stories, as I mentioned earlier, the next one will be an upcoming spin-off which takes place anytime during, between, and even the aftermath of EqG: Sonic 1 & 2. They're basically short chronicle stories that we didn't even see from the main two stories; like the aftermath of their battle with Dr. Robotnik, the CHS students and others reactions when meeting Sonic for the first time, what led Sonic to become the "Blue Justice", what Agent Stone been up to, whether Lyra and Sonic finally settling their differences, and many more! 
Anyway, I'm putting together this one special chapter to start with for this upcoming story, but that is all I'm going to say about it for now. Be sure to look out for this new story hopefully sometime late next month.

Knuckles had way more scenes in the show that the critics would like to admit, but yeah, Wade was the main character. That's not a bad thing, mind you, but the show was somewhat poorly advertised in that regard.
Also, Paramount really likes the road trip trope for some reason. This, to my knowledge, extends beyond Sonic (ex: the live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks movies).
That user had a point and I'm curious to see what you have planned for it once you cross that bridge.
I thought Lyra and Sonic were already on good terms after the first story.

Even so, Wade still got more screentime than Knuckles himself. Knuckles only appeared small parts in the last couple of episodes. Heck, he only appeared for one minute in the forth episode.
And I agree that they should've advertised the show about Wade featuring Knuckles instead of make it look like Knuckles is the main focus.

It was established in the second story while Sonic is cool with her and still likes to play pranks on her, Lyra still somewhat held a grudge towards him for making her the laughingstock in the past. This will be further explained in the future.

Honestly, I think this new entry you're writing works excellent, because you might finally use "Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-Quill" and the upcoming "Sonic the Hedgehog 3: Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gears" and adapt them into your universe.
