Masterworking System
Building upon the Tempering system is the Masterworking mechanic, designed for late-game Diablo 4 Items enhancement. It allows players to upgrade existing affixes on their items, boosting their effectiveness by up to 12 ranks. Every 4 ranks, one affix receives a substantial upgrade, enhancing its power and usability in combat scenarios.
Greater Affixes
An exciting addition to Season 4 is Greater Affixes, exclusive to Ancestral Legendary and Unique items. These affixes offer 1.5 times the maximum roll of normal affixes, making them highly desirable for endgame builds. They represent a significant power spike for characters aiming to tackle the game’s toughest challenges.
Class Changes
In tandem with item updates, Season 4 introduces substantial changes to class balance and abilities. These updates focus on refining gameplay mechanics and ensuring each class offers a compelling and balanced experience. For instance:
