Last Day of School (School is Drudgery) · 2:31am Saturday
(56 days since I began my project... feeling pretty restless)
I was out in the garden today, and at the stroke of three I could hear the final bell ringing form the nearby schools. The second they rang, the entire area erupted with the sounds of cheers like being at a rock concert, or scoring the winning point of the big game.
Well, another school term complete.
Even though I graduated from school in 2005, I still love it for all the other kids (At least those who feel glad to be free)
I hated school, every last bit of it... the only reason I went and stayed in school was because I had to.
-Waking up early (Barely able to wake up and speed up)
-Tushing through breakfast (Which can give you an upset stomach)
-Showering fast (And feeling that COLD after effect when you step out)
-Dressing quickly
-making sure you have all your things
-Getting to the bus on time
And that's just the basic morning routine...
-Angry, yelling, scolding teachers...
-Rude and obnoxious bullies that hit you from behind when you're not looking
-childish pranks, or serious ones that could hurt you if gone wrong
-And the schoolwork itself... I HATED EVERY BIT OF IT!!!
To me, school was nothing but a big load of boring and annoying drudgery. Sure... I may have learned some things, but it didn't thrill me too much.
Even Papa Smurf protested...
"Reading is supposed to be FUN... not Work."
That's what I see... it's the drudgery of it all. If there were ways to make learning more fun and exciting (Like those children's shows we used to watch, or games we would play) School could be more exciting, understanding, and students could learn much more A LOT faster.
But that's just a theory of mine.
Still, I'm glad school is out (For the kids who, like me, can't STAND it) and it saddens me when they have to go back.
*Sigh*
