Okie Brony's Mixtape, Vol. XIII

Welp, here's my lucky 13th music blog. I'm opening it with a blatant attempt to get more views. Here's an awesome picture of a Fluttershy cosplayer.
Edit: Of course, the pic isn't showing up in the preview window thing. Boo. Trust me, it's awesome.

I honestly don't think there's anything inappropriate about this, but if any mods disagree, I'll happily replace the image with Ceiling Derpy.
If this doesn't get me more followers, nothing will.

Now, music. It's Twofer Tuesday, meaning two songs by the same artist. This week is Halestorm's turn. After posting that picture, I can't not post one of my all-time favorite cover songs, Halestorm's cover of "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk.

Who among us doesn't feel like a freak sometimes?

"Freak Like Me" is from Halestorm's second album, "The Strange Case of..." (It's also the title of a short story by Lucky Seven.) "Get Lucky" is from their 2013 release "ReAniMate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP."

I don't dislike Daft Punk's original version of "Get Lucky," but I agree that Halestorm's version is much better.

Weird Al also covered the song, in the last minute of his medley "Now That's What I Call Polka!"
