Ships Names Need Help and updates · 1:23am Dec 29th, 2012
Ok, I have two problems both easily fixed. The first is do you people want the chapter now before it is preread and I will just reposted it after it is preread or wait for it? The second one I need help with naming the ships for both the Tau'ri and the Equestrian's. Before your name them here some rules, aka the names I have already, Thor, Enterprise (bet you didn't see that coming), The Ragnarok, Trottingham, Nightmare Lightning, Nightmare Thunder, and The Hammer of Asgard. Put you answer and names with who they go to in this blog reviews and if you come up with more put them here so I can keep track of them.

Here's a question: why are so many Equestrian ships named after cities. We never do that...do we? Well not for capital ships...right?
In my little SGU crossover, my plan is thus: the ponies lay out plans to build a massive starship, around Destiny-size, to be dubbed the RPS Starswirl. But much like the Phoenix, they end up changing the name.

The US named their battleships off states and since I don't really believe that Equestria has states so I went with that and the cruisers where named after cities I believe. And I will be taking that name, can't believe I forgot about him. And since the Phoenix got renamed because of General Hammonds death I hope one of my favorites character gets that honor, if you catch my drift.

I believe the UK names their's after scientists and such...I think. If I ran a military, all the ships would be named after dead scientists.
Okay, I'd name some off of greek myths.

The Taurus sounds like a cool name. Also, I definitely think you should edit before posting. The Comet and Scourge sound cool too. For a really big ship you could use Draco or Scimitar. As a really awesome name, you could use the Arcturus or Vengeance. Just a couple ideas.

Name some after dead ponies. The Starswirl, the Nightmare, The Clover, The Puddinghead (that'll throw the humans off
).
Actually, name six after the characters from Hearths Warming Eve. The Platinum, The Clover, The Cookie, The Pansy (it'll be a prototype super battlecruiser), The Hurricane (small support ship), and The Puddinghead.
