    About that Trixie Episode...

... Why did Trixie take the Alicorn Amulet off before putting the Doorstop of Deleterious Detriment on? What, do ponies only have one inventory slot for necklaces?

Bats are lovely creatures.

This particular specimen is a variety of vesper bat known as Townsend's big-eared bat, found throughout the North American continent. While being slightly larger and longer-lived than the model organism of the microchiropterans, the little brown myotis, the Townsend bat is otherwise unremarkable. Its only real claim to fame amongst its Vespertilionidae kin is its enlarged ears; without the specialised nasal passages to enhance its echolocation that most other microbats have, the Townsend bat must simply shout all the louder into the coming night, using its larger ears to best make due with what information can be gleaned from the decidedly uncivil process.

The learning! It never stops! Bats ARE pretty cool, though.

Aren't they just the business? The skeletal structure of their wings alone fascinates me, and that's before we get into the related musculatures!
