Reasoning for Delays of Umbreka Updates · 1:29pm Jan 17th, 2013

I'm writing this post now to confess something I've been holding back since last year and I feel it needs to come out. The reason for me holding things back was because back when it occurred to me, I really only had one person watching me and I didn't think I would get much more by the time I healed up. Now I feel it has grow large enough to finally speak up and explain my reasoning to why the chapters are taking so dang long to write out. No, it is not writer's block, it isn't laziness or procrastination. I feel it something more devastating to me in the long term than anything else.

Starting in December, some time around the nineteenth of the month, I was in a most tragic accident. I was stuck in the middle of a blinding snow-storm, and I needed to seek shelter from the inclement weather of 12° Fahrenheit (that is -11° Celsius for those who actually use a decent measuring system and not the Imperial System that I do). My car was lying on the opposite side of the parking lot from where I was standing and I knew that if I made it inside, I would be able to jack the heater up and relax. Thing weren't going to be as easy as that unfortunately. While climbing my way inside, a large tempest sent from Aeolus himself blew the door clean shut, trapping my arm in its frame. The snap and limpness I felt signified that my arm was broken and my days of writing fanfiction were over... Or were they? With the motivation of everyone reading my story and the number of favorites, I set out to writing the last three chapters you've read (and the current one coming soon) using only one arm. Now I have a lot more watcher thanks to my perseverance and I couldn't be any happier.

In all seriousness now, I did break my arm in a car accident and it has been hindering my ability to type of stories for those of you reading Umbreka. I feel greatly sorry for not being able to put out chapters any faster, but I honestly can't help it. I hope everyone understands and isn't upset with me for the lack of constant updates. The next chapter of Umbreka is being typed up as you read this and will be ready very soon so be looking out for that. Also, since we're all here right now, I guess we can have a little intermission time. I'll be open to answering any questions you guys have on this story, just think of it as a small story AMA, without any major spoilers. Thank you everyone for your understanding and have a great day!

Yeah, don't worry about it! :pinkiehappy:
Almost a year later and it's healed up nice and fine. Thanks for wondering though, you were the only person to actually comment on it.
