Rainbow Dash sighted in Indonesia · 3:51pm Jan 20th, 2013
From I Fucking Love Science:
"This is the pink-necked green pigeon (Treron vernans) and it's honestly not photoshopped. They're found in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests."
Looks like Tank has some new competition.
Wow. I knew tropical birds got colorful, but a rainbow pigeon? I wasn't prepared for this.
I've seen those before. I lived on Sumatra when I was little.
Like most other pigeons, the definition of "natural habitat" is subjective.

Yes, but how does it rate in terms of speed, agility, guts, awesomeness and radicalness?

Don't forget coolness.
If it craps on my car, I will end it.
Wow. Some movie bad guy should have one of these for a pet.
It is, of course, 20% cooler than an ordinary pigeon....
Wow! ...y'know, I don't actually think I've seen a pigeon with its full complement of claws before.
I am in Thailand right now. Haven't seen it yet though.
Thats an awfully impressive pigeon. Simply fascinating. Now here's a question. Does it break the visible light spectrum when it flies at top speed? If this thing ever makes a Sonic Rainboom we just might have something here, or I should say, a whole species of something.
I live in Indonesia and I never seen them
