this one oddly enough being sent to me through a personal message, even though only one person is watching me..........
Spike's Home Alone
A romance story involving Spike and Rarity Fluttershy! that's right in a twist i find unexpectedly amazing Rarity is not a major player in this story for the most part. Now when i looked at the front of this story i saw the ratings Teen and Sex. which made me think "OH Celestia please don't let this be a Clop!"
Well prayers are answered as strangely there's no sex in it at all. the story starts with Spike waking up to find Twilight isn't there, shes been called to Canterlot to speak at magic school leaving Spike alone.
Now i have major opinions on a good Fic holding to the cannon and short of a twist that is ulta non-canon it holds perfectly. characters don't really break personality, side characters from canon are mentioned even if unimportant and overall this story is really well written! honestly this is one of those i can go on and on about because its a total home run. only a few things bug me including the fact that despite a few scenes at Fluttershy's house Angle doesn't even get a mention, Fluttershy stretches the limits of her character a bit (trust me you'll know it when you see it), and again there's a tiny break in cannon but i can easily look passed it as it overall just WORKS. Give this one a read for sure!
just a warning the teen sex marker just means that the story is a little dirty but that there isn't any clop scenes in it

Most of what i'd seen before starting reviews on this site points to the Teen means some material can be slightly more adult like situations in this story and the tag sex means there's actual Sex be it romantic or excessive amounts of useless clop. but i'll try to remember that in the future
Heh, nice to get some praise. The sex tag is for some aspects of the humour, namely a couple of borderline adult jokes. Hope that clears up the confusion. Personally I'm happy with the story, even when it was a sleep deprived, semi-drunk me that wrote it. Sequel is on going but delayed due to real life being taxing.
