My muze is calling, time for some writing... · 7:05am May 7th, 2013
The only problem is, do I pick up where I left off with Warriors of the Crystal, or do I start up one of my other two projects that I've been thinking about for a long time now.
For those curious, what I've been planning are two stories connected to WotC; the first is a prequel covering the last great war between the Three Tribes before the signing of the accord that would bring them together. However, the war also brings forth harbingers of destruction that cannot be swayed: the Wendigoes. In their wake, hideous monsters the likes of which have never been seen before waylay the meek and the mighty alike, and the war for survival will be told in tales by bards for generations: the epic of the Ogre Battle: A Winter's Tale.
The second story is a sequel set far into the future, after the events of MLP: FiM. The Elements of Harmony have passed back into the custody of Celestia and Luna as they await the next set of bearers, the Mane Six have been entombed in a shrine honoring all they sacrificed for Equestria, and the history that Azure Vessel and his friends have written long since forgotten. However, his bloodline, and the lessons he learned, still live on. Now, in a new era, Princess Luna has finally found her calling, and has sent out a summons across her nation to help her bring the Magic of Friendship to a new frontier: the vast Star Ocean that her moon is the gateway to.
Both will be crossovers with each respective franchise much like Warriors of the Crystal is with Final Fantasy: elements of the series will be present, and fans of each should be able to recognize the shout outs without the story needing much in the way of knowledge of the games to enjoy. I hope to get these started at some point. I've been tossing ideas for both around for a while, as well as trying to figure out how to continue with WotC. Work has been picking up for me, so that might slow me down, but when inspiration strikes, what can I say? I gotta go with it.
