Mother's Day · 4:13pm May 12th, 2013
There are things in life I feel the need to put into poetic form, and the bond between mother and child is just one of those things. I hope you like sappy cause it's about to be that.
A mother's love is a treasure,
one that we all tend to find;
it spans time and space without measure,
when you're born two hearts are entwined.
No matter the distance one travels;
no matter how far one will go,
its threads will never unravel;
its strength will defeat any foe.
So no matter how far I may wander,
over rivers, valleys, and shade;
my love for you will grow ever fonder,
this fondness for you will not fade.
I'll love you forever;
I'll like you for always;
as long as I'm living,
my mother you'll be.
To everyone out there who loves their mother make sure you let them know. Some things aren't worth the breath we use to say them, but some things are worth all the air we will ever breath in our lifetimes.
My mother beat the shit out of me until I turned 15. Then I hit her with a chair and she never touched me again. Mothers are just people, they deserve respect and love only when it's earned.

While I am sorry to hear that, you have it backwards. Love isn't earned, it's given. Like every other emotion love is a choice, and it's yours.
