Some lovely concept art to entertain your nightmares. Don't thank me all at once :D. The Slithery Dee and [UNKNOWN], two villains of the fic.
Some more written today. I also have the overall plot pretty much planned out, the villains all set, and coffee brewing. There's going to be a shitload of surprises, and expect a lot of Stephen King and The Shining references. Hell, there will be a lot of references in general. There will also be two factions of villains.
Now for the good stuff:
The fic will have three main themes for each of the main characters.
Pinkie's will be about accepting fear for what it is, yet also accepting that courage can help one become less afraid of the fear itself. Don't fight your fears, accept them and move on. 'The only thing to fear is fear itself.' Courage the Cowardly Dog had a lot of this kind of thing. (speaking of which, totally throwing Katz in for a cameo spot.)
Twilight's will be about thinking outside the box and adapting. One cannot always rely on what they know to overcome obstacles.
Scootaloo's will be about accepting the past for what it is, and that happiness can be obtained no matter what has transpired. Destiny doesn't mean shit.
Anyway, look for this story... when it's done. I'd guesstimate a month or so. My goal is to get to at least 25k to 30k words before I even consider posting it (only if turns into an epic, though), that way the story should be pretty much planned out to the letter by then. I'll continue to be posting blog updates for those interested in it on its status, but I won't be posting previews.
*Yawns* Hardly qualified as nightmare fuel...
