Now in Arizona, and why I write · 8:50pm Jul 5th, 2013
Well, I survived. I now live in Flagstaff Arizona, as opposed to Richmond Indiana. For those of you not familiar with US geography, those two are pretty damn far apart. Internet is getting installed on monday, probably, I hope. I'm actually writing this from the campus of my new school NAU. So, now you know.
I was checking the inter webs after three days of no to almost no access, and I saw something that caught my attention. I would just post the video, but the cite that hosts this show only moves em over to Youtube after a week or so, and this is one of the newer ones, so, have a link.

TLDR: it's a call to action, to become something better for the nerd/geek culture. I'm not posting it here to "spread the message," I'm posting it here to say that this is why I do all this. Pony stuff, that is. This, is why I participate in this fandom. Because we already do this. Because I see us, Bronies, as the next step in the cultural and social evolution of human decency.
I'm could defiantly call myself a Tolkienite, or at least I would be if I knew it was a thing more than a few months ago; I could easily pass for a Whovian; I could probably even get away with calling myself a Trekkie, but I don't call myself any of those things. Instead I call myself a Brony.
I'm sitting here, in a college library, typing on my Pony-swagged-out laptop, wearing a Rainbow Dash, Brony shirt, adding a blog to my Fimfic account. I'm about as Brony as they come.
And Brony is the only fandom I consider myself to be apart of. Because we are... well, 20% cooler. I've seen it. At the Pony Con I went to, people were saying excuse me, and spontaneously bursting into song. My sister went with me, no sexual harassment. I talked to some of the artists and they said Brony Cons are the most polite.
We aren't perfect, there are bad seeds, but both of the times I've gotten into an argument on here, we ended up talking our way back out of it. I've never been so impressed with a group of people on the internet. This is why I write, because I enjoy it, and because we are awesome.
So, give yourself a pat on the back, Brony. You've earned it.
I'm not a Brony and I hate Bronies.
