My Next Fic (Strangeverse): Legend of the Titans · 1:26am Aug 5th, 2013
In the depths of the Everfree Forest, an artifact older than life itself activates, bringing forth five, resting heroes of old. Though they don't remember much, they still remember who they are. Yet in this new land of harmony and minimal crime, will they be able to be able to embrace the chance to finally live normal lives, or will they always be needed to heed the call?
Next Part of the Strangeverse Continuum. No, you don't need to read any other stories part of it.
A Little Background:
I swear, there was nothing more I obsessed over than My Little Pony than these guys back in the day. Just like My Little Pony, the Teen Titans was a character driven show featuring five superheroes who you could genuinely relate to as a preteen/teen. It also spawned some of the most kickass fanfics I've ever read. Read These Black Eyes (Google it) if you need an example. That's why I'm glad to be shoehorning the Teen Titans into my Strangeverse universe.
In addition to those five, this fic will be dealing a bit more with the artifact mentioned in my Slendermane fic. Basically, it's sort of like the thing from Eureka, dating back before the pony universe and even before that. In fact, it's essentially been travelling through every universe in existence, which basically come one after another. Universe is created, universe collapsed, new one is formed. That kind of thing. I don't really like the idea of the multiverse, so in my head canon the only alternate universe is the human universe in Equestria Girls, which I'd sort of view as a conjoined twin to the Ponyverse, or the other side of a coin. A land of physics versus a land of magic or something: whatever. Or it could just be Doug's universe. Yeah, I think I'll go with that.
Now, as for those of you going: 'wtf is the Teen Titans?', well for one thing: get out under your rock and go youtube that shit. Mainly the season intro and finales, those things are the best. You can still read the story without being totally confused and you'll probably latch onto the Titans, but it'll help to be into the show a lot.
Anyway, look for my tribute to my unhealthy childhood obsession and continuation of the Strangeverse sometime soon.
Oh, and expect Slendermane, Black Harness, the Doctor, and more of the Everfree Forest's guardians as well.
Question is Slade going to be in it?
Hmm, this might be interesting. Though it might take some will for me to personally read it. There are some crossovers I cannot stand *points to the One Piece crossover in the Feature Box*
But I believe it will not be like that. I might give it a read.
I liked Beast Boy. He was awesome. Terra ended up being a good character. I watched it when it began, but I think I missed some of the end.
Pinkie should have quite the fit when she meets Raven and gets a dose of Raven's attitude
