So... I've got 2 or 3 story ideas floating around!

First: FoE oneshot. A young barely-a-stallion hero in Lunangrad finds himself alone and in a bind. A Dashite mare, quite a bit older, who idolizes him for his exploits on the radio, finds him. Less actiony, a story focusing on motivations. Why did the Lunangrad Crusader start his one-pony way against the well armed raiders of the Northern City? What kept him going? And as for the Dashite... how do we react when people don't measure up to the images in our heads?

Second: Conversion Bureau story! Three newfoals in the first year of Equestria's intrusion on our universe must make their way to the west coast and freedom in a new world after being stranded by terrorists and the beginning shots of the terrible Three Day's War, a TCB universe event wherein the human world corporation futilely attacks Equestria's bubble. A street smart former black market trader, the best friend and confidant of the man who called the founder of the WorldCorp Uncle (And secretly, Father), and a woman who longs to return to an earlier time she's only read about must hash out their motivations and avoid humans, many of whom still don't trust these new alien visitors.

Third: More lighthearted, OC story. Poets Corner is a writer and poet who owns an old bookstore in Ponyville. He and his wife StarSinger live an incredibly peaceful, happy life, if an uneventful one... or do they? Poets Corner may occasionally publish under his own name and maintain his branch of the Corner family's bookstore chain, but in reality most of his income comes from writing as someone else altogether: Silver Wings. The writerly unicorn, shy and weary of fame, poses in public with his wife in a disguise as the husband of Silver Wings, the beloved writer of epic adventure tales, and both of them are fine with this arrangement and no one knows the truth. But while on a trip to Eponyian Deserts to research for his upcoming tale of adventure and magic, the couple comes under the scrutiny of a nosey reporter and an ancient brotherhood who has read slightly too deeply into his work, and believes he may be and know things that he does not...

The third one sounds like some decent Lovercraftian stuff with the cult inspiring stuff off of writting xD

But otherwise, I gotta say the first story looks most attractive to me, especially that part about "how do we react when people don't measure up to the images in our heads?"
That's got some decent drama written all over it :p

I adore Lovecraft, but don't wait for Dagon!

The first one is the one that's the strongest in my mind as an image. I've written 4-5 pages and started over once already. :P It persists.

I'm definitely "feeling something" for the third idea... it has a very perceptible sense of drama and "cat and mouse" interplay. Whatever you choose, best of luck!

Well the next one will be FoE... BUT

Im a little surprised by the fact that you guys were interested in the third one. I think I'll take a crack at it when this short story is over! :)

The third sounds great. Has the possibility of fun comedy with snappy patter between the husband and wife. I'm picturing one of those classic Hollywood couples that banter during action sequences.
