For Halloween Night (more day, but whatever), my pals and I decided to start a game of Warhammer RPG (V2)
During my character's creation, which turned out to be a Bretonnian Knight Errant, a friend suggested me to name him Jacques in honor of my version of Applejack because I rolled massive fighting stats in Close Combats and Strength...
Thanks to him, I want to write a story about Pony AJ who passes through some chaotic portal, transforms into a human version of herself, and land in the land of Knighthood, Bretonnia, of the Warhammer universe.... In here she'll have to find her way home, thus going through swarms of Chaos cultists, daemons...etc. and to accomplish such exploit she'll have become Jacqueline de la Douce Pomme (Jacquelyn of Sweet Apple), Female Knight of the Realm of Bretonnia....

More seriously, what do you think of the idea of AJ knight of Equestria ?
If you were asking for someone to convince you not to write that story, I can help.
The easiest way would be to show you just how incredibly complex and long such a story would end up being. You're talking about creating a whole new life for AJ, forming new friendships over time, overcoming obstacles in a race-defining world as the only one of her race there...
In reality, the story would either be incredibly long, or short and not very good.
If you really want to write this story, go ahead, but be ready for a long haul and/or extreme criticism from fans of both universes MLP and Warhammer alike.
If you want us to stop you, just don't write it. That's what stops me for writing crazy stories.
But funny thing is I like this idea. There should be more epic applejack stories.
That is if you want to, go on and write.

That sounds much more doable. And more interesting, to tell you the truth.
Not that a Warhammer story doesn't sound interesting, but these days it seems 'odd' crossovers have become the norm.
1466292>>1466309 This is true, crossovers (especially of games) seem like a normal thing now, having an AU with plain old medieval times seem much cooler and a lot easier to write.
You wouldn't have to deal with extra lore, no really weird monsters to fight (just the human variety) and it would really fit AJ's character for her to be working in that time period (there were a lot of farmers during that time with mean/bad overlords). It won't require as much length to write it, and the people during that age didn't meet each other too much (unless you lived in a town/manor, then it was normal to know a lot of people during your servitude to the guy in charge).
However, you may want to finish at least one of your other projects first (if not more of them). It may be wise to put such a story idea on the back burner and let it stew while you work on some of the already existing stories (don't worry, I've had stories on the back burner get so strong and ready that I had to start working on them before finishing other things, the story idea you have is unlikely to disappear if you waited a little longer)
The medieval one sounds a lot more doable, but I agree with others on that fact that you want to finish one of your other projects. We don't want you to turn into another Rainbow Bob.

This would be just amazing. I would love to see this come true. The only thing I would have to ask would be to finish Apple Scratch first along with your other stories. Also since it is in the Warhammer universe to involve the Tyrinids...even if only just once...that is if you want to.
I sure it's a cool idea for AJ to become a knight (whether it's taking place in the universe of Warhammer or not), but you already have 4 stories you're working on right now. How you are able to juggle all of them is beyond me, and I think that adding one more is going to make it difficult for you to manage it all! I may have a few plans and ideas when it comes to MLP Fanfics, but I keep in mind to work on one major story at a time (one-shot stories are exception in my book). Plus, I know nothing about Warhammer, and I'm happy enough from reading the stories you've got right now. I hope you can understand what I'm saying about all of this.

Now, after GTVS halloween update, I'll get on finish the rewrite of Apple Scratch Toward the world, then I'll work Cloud's arrival at the Guard's training facilities (meeting Spitfire, Shining, Blossomforth... and so on

So dont stress and dont do it, we want you to do your other stories first! (finish what you started) Love your work, be safe, and stay imaginative!
