Happy New Year everyone! Well, it will be in just under an hour from where I am, so I might as well get this blog in now.
I joined this site just under a year ago, in mid January, which marked my first return to fanfiction in about five years. I had a bit of a false start with In the Shadow and the Light, but you were kind enough to take Vengeance of Dawn into your hearts for which you have my sincerest thanks.
There were times when I thought that, between Twilicorn and Equestria Girls, the brony fandom would shatter itself in its own convulsions like...a thing that shatters itself amidst its own convulsions (I'm sure there's an example to complete the simile but I can't think of it at gone 11o'clock at night). But it didn't thankfully, and here we are in the second quarter of season 4, with one standout episode (Flight to the Finish, truly one for the top five) an epic two parter, two great songs and some enjoyable twenty minute chunks of entertainment. Now if only we can be partway through a fifth season come 2014 then I think we will be very fortunate.
I want to give specials thanks/shout outs to Dark Parable, for generally being an all around great bloke (and more specifically for giving Vengeance of Dawn the Dramatic Reading treatment), to the Albinocorn for pre-reading both Comes the Sunset and How the Sunset Sparkles (and for putting up with my fast-paced demands upon his time) and to Starlight Nova for also pre-reading Comes the Sunset. You guys are amazing!
Once the preliminary chapters of How the Sunset Sparkles are cleared out the way then I will get to work revising Comes the Sunset, some of the preliminary work for this has been done already. Hopefully both those stories will be completed during the year to come and after that...
Well that would be telling.
