Where did all these god damned followers come from and why are they all watching Sabbatical fuck fuck fuck.
It's funny; a year ago i told myself "damn mbulsht some people really like that fanfiction mayhaps you should actually write it." and then myself told me "well diddly dingle dang that's a great idea but you really need to finish your album first!" So I promised myself I would finish up the album and then get right back to work on the fic.
So naturally I released two albums, fired up a couple musical commissions, got a contract to work on some indie game that still hasn't paid me for the work I did for them, did a bunch of composing work for college, and completely forgot that I had a fanfiction that people were reading.
SO imagine my surprise when I log on for the first time in a year to read some clopfic that somebody had linked me, and I have all these diddly doo-dah messages that are months old.
Do people even still use this website like damn okay.
Anyway, here's the skinny: I've got almost a four chapter buffer completed; that is, chapters i've finished writing but haven't proofed and all that shoop da scoop butt.
So yeah, chapters inbound for the three of you who are still interested.
EDIT: I should probably mention this, but the last time Sabbatical was updated was BEFORE Twilight gained her alicorn wings and abilities and stuff. This WAS going to be the logical end of my fanficiton, y'know twilight working to be princess and all, and there WAS going to be pairings in it. Clearly, the canon has kind of broken this since she is now a princess but nobody has hooked up or anything like that.
But I don't really feel like changing anything because following the canon post-season-3 would kind of break everything i had planned for the fic. Not to knock the canon or anything, I freaking love the direction they've taken the show thus far.
SO: Sabbatical can now be considered AU, or you can just pretend it takes place before Twilight gets her wings. Whichever makes you sleep at night.

It's cool, dude. Twilight becoming an Alicorn is, like, the story arc of MLP. There's still tons of people working on stories that started before the end of S3, and plenty of people who just said heck with it and posted their own ideas for it after that.
And here I thought this was dead, nice to see you are still writing.

It's always been my opinion that any canon that comes to light after the beginning of the story can be disregarded at will. Heck, I still call best pony Ditzy Doo in my primary continuity, because the first story started before "The Last Roundup."
So, yeah, don't let Twilicorn trouble you.

A good story will always bring people back when it's ready to update, even if it has been a good year or two. Twilight approves of reviving good incomplete stories.

Since your story was started before Twilight's Alicornification, it get's a free pass. No one is going to mind that it ignores all the recent canon. And besides, being the author you could ignore it all anyway, no matter when you started writing.
