Thank God...: Captain Equestria chapter and stuff · 2:41am Feb 8th, 2014
Okay, so I was finally able to loosen up me writing muscles, thanks to all those wonderful comments on the most recent blog post.
You all rock.
So, I figure that this new, much bedraggled Captain Equestria chapter, shall be split into two chapters, with the first one showing Applejack and Apple Bloom, and the next one showing all the bootcamp training stuff and things.
How does that sound?
I figure I'd rather have several small chapters that have a good handle of pacing and character, then a really big and long one that is really sloppy.

Sounds good to me. Better smaller chapters with the better pacing; etc.; that you mentioned than those that are longer, but sloppier. I trust your judgment on this, bro.

There's still one major problem with Captain Equestria:
Since Applejack is a quadruped, it is physically impossible for her to wiled a shield.

Seriously I think her knowing how to wield the shield is kinda moot in a universe where Rarity's building giant battle suits and Rainbow Dash can control the weather with a hammer.

One of these days I'm going to watch this Mystery Science Theater I keep hearing about.
I don't know, this is just my opinion, but Applejack being able to wield a shield of any kind seems like one of the only thing not covered by it only being a show. With Rarities armor, it looks like it could work.
Rainbow Dash is a bit of a stretch, wielding Mjolnier, but fighting with a hammer is much easier than, say, a sword if you are a quadruped.
With Applejack...this has been bothering me ever since I thought about it and I can't figure out how it can work.
If it's large enough to give her side adequate protection, she can't walk.
If it's small enough for her to be able to mover her leg, it can't really protect her.
I'm sorry if this seems like harping (I'm trying very hard not to harp) but I honestly can't get it.

My main source of logic for West Wing was to strengthen one of the coolest things about your universe: The fact that seemingly everything is cannon.
Seriously, we have Marvel, DC, James Bond, and Sherlock confirmed, Magic School Bus and Doctor Who got cameos that indicate the could very well also be cannon, and Mission: Impossible is looking likely. Play it up as much as possible, because 1 it will bring more traffic to your universe, and 2 it would be awesome to live in a world wear Sherlock can match wits with James Bond, and Mission Impossible could be tasked with, I dont know, breaking into Avenger Mansion.
Adding Transformers would most likely be overkill, sadly.
Seriously, though add as many franchises as can logically fit.

But yeah I've got Sherlock, James Bond, Mission: Impossible, Marvel, DC and pretty much everything I like in one way or another.
