First, with the help of the new proofreaders, Vrilix and Tired Old Man, I rewrote the first chapter to fix the issues pointed by the review. Some scenes were extended to make the story flow better, there are also some minor plot changes.
Second, before publishing chapter 9, we're going to check already published chapters. Don't worry, I'm not going to go all George Lucas on them, just fixing some minor things. The bad news is that it'll probably take some time before chapter 9 comes out - it's finished, but its quality is still far from what I consider decent.
Time for good news – actually, chapters 10-17 are more or less written too. Now I only have to write 10 more (or maybe not 10? Since with each written chapter I'm making corrections to the outline, either merging some events into one chapter or dividing them, I lost count...), preread, proofread and edit them, and we're done. Even if I get a writer's block at some point (so far I only had a minor one, after which I started to write comedy fics), there's still plenty of chapters to publish ;)
