A mustang is a specific kind of horse, only native to North America, and is descended from the horses that the Spanish, French and English brought with them that escaped/were set loose and became feral.
Pip on the other hand, is a pony, and is from the pony version of England. That's right. Pip is an immigrant in my verse. Born in Pony!London, lived there until he was like seven or something, then either his parents moved to Manehattan, or they died and he was sent to live with Aunt May. Either way, he still has an English accent.
Long story short, the term 'mustang' is incorrect for a pony. Kinda like calling a German Shepherd Dog a Wolf.
And it has too many sylables.

Turns out, he only came up with the basic idea of a guy dressing up like a bat. Turns out it was Bill Finger, his ghost writer/co-worker/artist who came up with everything else, from the look of the costume to the batmobile to The Joker.
He never got the credit during his lifetime. Instead, Bob Kane actively campanged to make sure his name was the only one you assocated with Batman.

I wouldn't go that far.
It isn't as good as the other cartoons, but much of the hate is simply people having trouble adjusting to the (admittedly very drastic) change. There are several parts of the mythology used here (the connection between the Goblin and Venom for instance) that I liked.
The show does have the fatal flaw of being unable to take itself seriously, and it isn't the best version of Spidey, but it isn't as bad as the Hype makes it out to be.
