Cutting the new Captain Equestria in half · 10:23pm Jun 1st, 2014
I was just working on the new Captain Equestria chapter, and felt I should check the word count.
Turns out, I'm currently at 7,314 words.
And I'm only about two thirds of the way done with it.
So, I think I'm going to cut it into two smaller, easier to digest (and write) chapters.
Now I just gotta find a good scene to end the chapter on (most likely AJ and the Professor talking about Apple Bloom's cutie mark, where I can hopefully also outline some of his backstory)
But yeah, that way I can give you guys a new chapter, and yet not worry about it being some kind of disgustingly obese behemoth that's like, 13,000 words or something.

Yeah, you might want to put a limit on how many words each page has sometimes...just saying.
But at other times, like fight scenes and such, maybe so many words are necessary to describe everything that's happening. I hope you manage to work it out.
And on a completely unrelated note, since you're a Marvel expert and all, do you know why Spider-Man needs web shooters? Can't he just shoot web from his wrists? I never really got that...
2165481 Well, in regards to the web-shooters, in the main Marvel comics verse (Earth 616), Spidey can't shoot webbing from his wrists naturally. He made the web-shooter himself.
HOWEVER, in the Rami films, they went with organic web shooters.
And in the case of Captain Equestria, most of the chapter is talking and stuff, with really, only one major action sequence at the end, so why have it be so damned long?
2165533 Well I have no idea how to respond that bit about the request, since I was kinda joking at the time, but whateves.
Also, I don't really have a DEADLINE persay, but I would like to get Captain Equestria, Spider-Colt and Iron Mare finished before the year is out. I mean, we're in freaking June already.
Most likely, we're gonna hafta cut some stuff out of Captain Equestria that we had planed, simply because it's already 61,000 words and we haven't gotten her injected with the serum yet
And X-Questrians is lucky enough to not be stuck being finished before HWA starts, since it's detailing an entirely different team.
And I just think that 7,000 is a perfectly good length, since then the chapter just feels like it goes on for forever. Kinda like MDW:R in a way
I"m glad to hear the chapter is about done, I really need want to see Applejack become Captain Equestria already, but take your time. I also still wait for the next chapter of Iron Mare, I want to see how Rarity use the suit for the first time. Again take your time.
