The Last Link, Chapter 5 -- Back Under The Pen · 7:17am Jun 6th, 2014
It's early early Friday, and so later I'm planning on posting the next chapter of The Last Link, Lessons Learned. What'll you see? More than I remembered. Looking at it, I realize that there's a LOT packed in this chapter. It's not that long, but it really is an important one- there's history and a ton of information about what Pasture is doing.
With that said, there's a few issues. I had it pre-loaded, but in a brief review, I'm not happy. Some clunky language, some odd scraps of dialogue... this is kind of the key to a few puzzles that are building, so I want to make sure the pieces fit together right. I'm going to be doing some last-minute revisions in the morning, but I plan on getting it up in the queue in the mid to late afternoon so it'll be up in the evening.
So it's pretty much done, but I want to gussy it up a little more, polish it here, carve it down a little over there. If enough people clamor for it and make some noise, I might be convinced to release it before finishing the fixes... but that's up to all of you!
That said, I'm thinking of asking what else people want to see/know. As I've written, a lot of little bits of background details have formed along with the story, and I can't just toss in a thousand-word exposition on how I'd build MY Semi-Savage World of MLP, but if anything doesn't make sense, I want to give a better base. How should I do it? Monographs? AMA-style? Salaciously-worded fics that border on the edge of propriety? ... oh, wait, I already did that.
Seriously, though- who wants to know more about how the Frostmane works, doesn't work, and what makes the 'Maners tick?
