Once Upon a Time in Canterlot: episode 2 - Guardian · 1:34am Sep 16th, 2014

It's not often that I get this excited about an animated short.
The animation and music are phenomenal again, though I liked the beat of the action more in the first. This second one, however, is more emotionally charged by far.

FREAKING AMAZING!

It took you this long to see this?
Get out from under that rock.

2458660 Rocks rock! :pinkiecrazy:
There's so much I sacrifice for my writing. Maybe I should write less. :raritydespair:

i already see this but really you already know this?

bro i think no matter how many time i see this its freaking awsome i mean somepony gotta make a fanfic about this

2458952 I thought the exact same thing, but really the visual and musical presentation is just a whole different experience from anything written. Even with great writing, the addictive rhythm of the first episode and the immediate emotional impact in the way the characters move and respond with music in the second episode and the way the camera moves in both, would take pages of writing to convey as effectively, and, by then, the audience has been reading for 5 or 10 minutes. Animated shorts like this one are able to punch the message across in real time.

Anyway, there are still some great written action scenes, I'm sure, though I admit I haven't read much in the way of action outside of pop-fiction like Harry Potter or Twilight. :twilightsheepish:

2459070 Indeed, but animation can take much longer to produce than writing, sure once it's finished and there it gets the message, feelings, emotions and whatever across in a short time, but to the animator that short time could have been weeks or months even.
so yes, quick to watch, slow to produce, writing probably comes like halfway between for both producing and viewing(I wouldn't know, I'm not a writer).

2459317 Yep. You get what you put into something. That's the truth.

still its freaking awsome MLP fim rules! :yay:

i wonder if mlp can have a crossover since the show is now popular
