Ooh, a new feature! What could it be? What could it be?
...
Seriously?
So, after that rubbish where they combine our 'tracking' and 'favourite' functions, as, apparently 'everyone' just uses favourite, they give us our tracking button back and have the nerve to call it an update?!
No, damn it! Restoring the status quo _is not_ an 'update'!
Moreover, this now means I have masterpieces by the likes of shortskirts&explosions put in the same class alongside the cheapest dreck produced by... well, also shortskirts&explosions (seriously, dude, if you see this, clicking on your latest update is pretty much like playing roulette, so far as quality... and genre... and appeal go). That simply won't do.
So, as a gift to all you people who trust my impeccable taste in literature (and to sate my desperate desire to procrastinate), I've trimmed the fat from my favourites shelf. If it wasn't complete, or I don't explicitly recall it being good, it's on my 'tracking' or 'read later' lists. Unless it was one of the very few that got deleted, but that's their own fault for cancelling the story (as a matter of principle, I refuse to read cancelled stories at all - unless my muse returns to me, and grants me the ability to write actual stories again, there is simply nothing positive to take out of an unfinished fic. For similar reasons, I generally refuse to read a story that's 'on hiatus').
Now, I'll grant you that a lot of what's on my 'favourites' shelf at the moment should probably be transferred to my 'Good Reads' shelf (When I put something in 'favourites', I judge it based the rule of 'would I be willing to pay a not-insignificant amount of real money for a dead-tree format version of this/ collection composed of stuff like this [in the case of one-shots, drabbles and the like]'). Let's just consider that an 'ongoing project' for the indefinite future, shall we, and move on.
However, I trust that you'll find that my so-called 'favourites are at least worth your time, if not your money.
