Uneventful. I did my annual Halloween gig with my cousins last weekend because they were busy on the day. tried to get them to watch some good horror, but they chose 'World War Z.' Buncha wimps. This time I played some Dead Space, but that's about it.
So yeah, totally uneventful.

Pretty similar story at my end, after I finished giving candy to the munchkins, I finished Alien Isolation. Nothing to write home about.

Alien Isolation is Freaking Epic! You know that feeling in the original Deadspace when the necromorphs first appear and you're basically going "OhshitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohsitohFUCK!" and then you die? Imagine that, for fourteen hours. It took me three days to get through it and I slept like a rabbit in a dog kennel every night. Worth. Every. Penny.
The big disapointment actually came from the other triple-A horror game that came out this month: The Evil Within. I got to chapter three before I stopped playing and took it back. Within the first thirty minutes, this happens: 1: you fall down a bloody slide and have to dodge whirring blades (Silent Hill: Homecoming), you run away from a chainsaw-wielding, masked-maniac (Resident Evil 5), and then, you find yourself in a old timeyvillage full of mutant-zombie villagers who attack you on sight (Resident Evil 4). I was not amused.

Despite all the advertising, The Evil Within wasn't even a blip on my radar screen. I was gonna wait till it came out and see what popular opinion was. now I know.
I shall look forward to Alien... after I get over Beyond Earth and my latest round of replaying Dead Space, that is.
