    Amira is real!

    ...ish.

Through the powers of paint, clay, and probably some dark magicks, my amazing artistic friend turned a normal Cadance blind-bag pony into...

I'm super thrilled with the result, and she shall watch over my writings from above my desk from now on .

    Little Bits

I decided to write up some of the smaller-scale stories I've had bouncing around. Due to their small scope I'll be able to get them posted quickly and without slowing down Arabian Nights at all.

    Life's a jerk

Sorry for the massive delay between chapters 4 and 5. I don't like to make excuses, but I feel justified in this case: Life dropped a big load of awful on me all at once, and I'm still dealing with the results.

    Under Construction

Once my editor and I got a chance to really dig into it, the original chapter 3 grew too large and grand for a single chapter, so I've split it into two. Both halves had heavy work done, including brand new content, and I really recommend you go back and re-read chapter 3 and

Hitting a stride · 1:18am Dec 22nd, 2014

With the new chapter of Arabian Nights, I'm up to 3 chapters in a week, which seems to be my perfect pace. You can expect a similar cadence going forward, or potentially a bit faster for the next week, thanks to the holidays. I hope to have chapter 4 hitting your notifications around the 24th :moustache:

I also feel like I'm hitting a stride regarding writing for Amira. Her trademark feisty-ness is showing through a little more, and should be even more apparent once she gets some much needed rest. Some authors say they love their characters like their own children, but to me Amira is more like a very close friend. One who I believe in and want to succeed in life, but has opinions and tendencies of her own. I can give her guidance, but in the end, she'll take her own path.
