Blah blah blah, knighty pls. I missed banners. I tried the simple Style that PiercingSight posted here, but I didn't think it really worked well with user- and story-page headers and such. Then someone pointed out the (often rather crummy) backgrounds of said headers (very blown-up versions of the user avatar and story art), and I decided to play with things. After learning some basic CSS, I managed this:

I think it looks pretty good. I also decided to change around the 'user toolbar' colors, because olive green? Knighty pls. PLEZ. Here's the front page:
Anyway, I've made the banner style available, with easy, imgur-hosted banner options, and the recolor style as well. These require the Stylish add-on for Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, and I make no guarantees of them working as-is with anything but the Firefox version (and I definitely have no idea about I.E.)
I also learned enough PHP to make a randomization script (available as an option above), but it's kinda buggy because of the stubbornness of CSS caching, and possibly also because of imgur's cache settings. I welcome any suggestions, and if anyone wants to submit a new banner, if I like it I'll add it to the imgur random album, and the userstyle page.
