I haven't posted anything in a while for a multitude of reasons. Most of that is because I haven't been reading too much pony fic lately. I'm currently trying to reduce a bit my general literature queue – I should probably make a post about it. Also, I'm working on a quite large review, one that wound up demanding quite a bit of side reading – hopefully, Part I will be out this week. And I am also trying to finish writing something – by the way, drop me a line if you can do some proofreading.

Besides all that, I am starting to write reviews for The Pleasant Commentator and Reviewer Group. These are a bit different from the ones I do around here, being more author-centric, and much more long winded. Also, they tend to be for stories I wouldn't read normally, so I am expecting the quality of what I read to vary wildly.

Anyway, my first review is up right now, for a story called Imperium et Imperator. For those of you curious, it can be found here.

Overall, I wasn't too impressed by that one. It reads not only as a first story, but like something that might have popped up on EQD on early 2011. Overall there are some interesting concepts, but they are buried under many technical issues, and it is something that still needs quite a bit of fixing. Were this a regular review, I'd give it a 1/10 in its current format, despite it being incomplete.

At any rate, check the group out, since it has quite a bit of quality reviews around. I will continue cross posting mine here, whenever I get around to writing a newone.
