In The Beginning....There Were Ponies · 5:31pm Jul 15th, 2012
As most older Bronies (of the Author persuasion), my introduction to MLP Gen 4 began this way.
(Walking by my son, who was watching videos)
“Are you watching... My Little Pony? Yech!”
“Hey, that doesn’t look like the Ponies I remember.”
“It’s over already?”
“They’re on YouTube?”
“Well, I suppose I could watch one more.”
(Hook solidly planted, Hasbro begins to reel in...)
“Oh look, McDonalds has MLP collectables in the kids meals. I can get one, that won’t hurt.”
“Hey, the Wedding episode is available for pre-order on Amazon. Let me get my card.”
“Well, I’ve been writing on my Novel for well onto twenty years at about a page a month, I’m never getting done, I suppose I could try punching out a MLP short story.”
(three days later)
“Twelve pages, single spaced. Oh, and a couple pages for a wrap-up. Oh God, I’d be too embarrassed to actually put this where others could read it.”
(two days later)
“Well, its edited about as tightly as I can get it without dropping content, and everything I want to toss in would just be chrome and sparkles. I guess I can go back to working on my book now.”
(one day later)
“Well, I suppose I could put it up on FIMfiction. Now I need an Avatar, but I couldn’t draw to save my life. Hey, there’s a pony creator. (click, click, click darn not quite what I wanted but it will do)”
“Ok, all done. Now I can get back to work on my book. Or write a sequel...hm...”
