美国微笑 · 2:31am May 19th, 2015
He loves the way you do it, The Monkey.
So willing.
So unwitting.
Destroying yourself.
The Monkey sees all.
His eyes, always watching.
In his left hand, Earth.
In his right hand, Death.
You smile.
You smile and wave a rag.
Franklin, tied to a post, burning.
He screams for help.
You can't hear him.
You only know of the rag.
You covert the rag.
You smile.
You don't know what you're doing.
You can see.
But you don't know.
You ask for blessing.
You ask in song.
You receive curses.
You smile.
The Monkey, his name on everything.
Everything you own, he owns.
You don't even care.
Franklin, burning.
Burning.
Burning.
You love the linen and cotton.
You want more.
You dance around the flames as they climb higher.
You burn with him.
No pain.
You smile.
The fire, it burns you.
You fuel it with linen and cotton.
Fifty Stars blaze the blue sky.
They fall.
One by one they fall on you.
You smile.
Seven red beasts, clad in armour of zinc, nickel and copper.
"More! More! Bigger! More!"
The seven red beasts scream at you.
In their right hands, the power to destroy worlds.
In the other, chains.
Behind them, The Monkey, holding the chains.
Six white beasts, on thrones of pure gold.
They wear robes of linen and cotton.
They smile their smile of captivating beauty.
Sweet fragrance comes from their mouths.
It beguiles you.
It numbs you.
They deceive you.
You love it.
More linen, more cotton.
To feed the flames.
You smile.
0-0..... is someone getting sacrificed?? And what language is the title in?
First of all, what do you think this is about?
I wrote this myself, by the way.
Translate it.
3079581 I think it about a world where both life and death choices 2 people to either live or die. But in this case both of them were dying. The red beast are death and the white beast are life.
You are smiling because you have done something wrong to Franklin, but you didn't regret it. While Franklin was doing something wrong to you. (You might have killed Franklin and Franklin killed you. I don't know.)
(That my theroy so far...)
I have one question: what was Franklin's emotion? Was he scared or was he happy?
Great poem by the way! It made me think pretty hard.

Thank you Sunman, I'm glad you like it.
I'll send you a PM with my explanation.
*tries to use their brain of mashed potatoes*
Well, I gotta say, it's really well written.
Linen and cotton, isn't that what money are made of?
So, with that my guess is, I (the lover of linen and cotton) is greedy for money. So 'I' fuel the fire, which will kill me, with the money I gained in my own greed?
3079842
Yes. But the greed of your nation.
3079842
In this case, You is a collective of the citizens of America.
3079843 At least I'm not that slow when I've recently woken up xD
3079844 Ah, can be good to know :P
3079849
I'll send you a PM explaining this.
3079877 I knew it could be used to adress multiple people, but I didn't really get that at first xD Still, might help
3079937
I genuinely have absolutely no idea what that has to do with anything. It was amusing, however.
3079941 Sorry. I'm prone to posting random stuff.
And what you just saw was autism at its finest.
3079945
Above theses comments, is autism, Aspergers and ADHD at full throttle in one of its forms. (me)
Greed
3079999
In a way.
3079999
Shall I send an explanatory PM?
3080147 sure
Something to do with the three monkeys? See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil?
This is actually a bit difficult. Let me show you what I see so far.
The title is written in Chinese and i believe it says smile.
This clearly refers to the American flag with fifty stars for each states, seven red stripes and six white stripes for the original thirteen colonies
I believe Franklin may be referring to Benjamin Franklin, who once said that anyone who gives up a little liberty for a little safety deserves neither. Modern America is doing exactly that, sacrificing right and freedoms for the promise of safety. Thus, this is why Franklin is screaming yet no one hears him; his advice is being ignored. We covet the rag, our flag, the symbol of our government and country. We blindly worship our country and believe that it is inseparable from the government, thus we are controlled by it and do not question it.
Am I on the right track so far?
Update: the significance of both the language of the title and the Monkey have been realized. The Monkey refers to the Chinese legend of the Monkey King. The Monkey refers to China, as the phrase "Made in China" is seen on virtually ever product in the U.S. China controls America economically and we are dependent on it, as well as in debt to it. Everything we own, it owns.
Update: The rags of linen and cotton may not refer to the flag, but to money, which would also tie into Benjamin Franklin who appears on the hundred dollar bill.
Overall, I believe this is about the ignorance and greed of America. We "ask for blessings" but receive "curses" because the world hates us but we still believe ourselves the saviors or police of the world.
We burn money that we don't have. We spend frivolously thinking money is limitless. We doom ourselves with our greed.
We are in debt to China and rely on it heavily when it comes to the economy. We were once the top industrial power in the world, now most Americans work for Walmart and the service industry.
We are deceived by politicians and held in chains by both them and China.
Through it all, we smile ignorantly. Unaware that the nation is falling around us.

Congratulations.
