It would seem that my current proofreader for Spark and Shine is having a difficult time expressing his concerns with how they can be improved. As such, he suggested that I acquire a new one.
But before I hurl myself at the mercy of the masses (AKA the Proofreader's group), I thought I'd ask you guys for help first.
To ensure that From a Sparkle to a Spark and From a Shimmer to a Shine are at the best they can possibly be, I am humbly requesting one of you to be my new proofreader.
What that entails:
You need to have read Shine from beginning to end before making suggestions on its sequel.
You need to have an elementary knowledge of grammar and composition.
You need to be able to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism with the goal of helping me improve. I'm a stickler on this one.
You need to be as straightforward and honest as possible.
You need to be available to chat at least once every two weeks.
The idea here is that you'll be helping me work on story transitions, keeping everyone in character, steadily progressing the work, making sure the pacing fits, and (if necessary) damage control.
