Lore Analysis: Do Princess Dream of Magic Sheep? (S5E13) · 8:09am Jul 15th, 2015
HEADCANNON WARNING
ITS CANNON! Magic taking a strain on unicorns (even freaking alicorns) is now cannon. An argument could be made that this was already proven during "Boast Busters"... but hey telekinesis doesn't follow the same rules as magic, mainly because it is something that unicorns are born with, not learn.
However is that last statement true? From "Baby Cakes" we learn that unicorns have access to a large verity of spells not long after birth. As well that Pegasi can fly upside down. So the question is... is magic something ponies are born with? Is Pumpkin Cake the next Twilight Sparkle or Sunset Shimmer? Is there a phase where all young unicorns have access to a wide verity of spells and then lose that ability? Or am I just too stupid to answer this question?
Wow... I sound like the Brony Notion, a short dialogue with a question at the end.
Anyways back to Episode 13. It has been officially proven that alicorns can, 1) Create entirely new life forms and 2) Link multiple ponies dreams together. On the subject of dreams we learned the official physics of the dream world... there are no physics in the dream world. Ponies can do anything they want, given this is pretty standard for dream worlds but hey ITS NOW CANNON! Also Giant Derpy, can't forget the Giant Derpy.
On a more vulgarer note, we now know that Lyra and BonBon (Secret Agent Sweetie Drops) want to be inside of eachother, Ship Ship Ship Ship Ship.
Anyways there wasn't all that much lore behind this episode. Come on DHX we want another Hearth's Warming Eve, we need to know. Was it the Crystal Heart that saved the ponies? Or were there actually 6 ponies in a cave singing carols?
Well here is my short Lore Analysis of My Little Pony, Season 5, Episode 13. Flutter on!
