CISPA/CISA is Back. · 6:08pm Jul 31st, 2015
I wouldn't be writing about this on the heels of the TPP blog, but BOTH of these issues can adversely affect the internet and rights for those of us.
The last blog I warned you about the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership), but for those of us in the United States, CISPA has also returned under 'CISA' (The Cybersecurity Information System Act) .
This will will allow the government to view ALL private information you may have online WITHOUT a warrant and allow both banks and large internet corporations that leak to give to them and receive legal immunity for it.
It would also give them legal immunity to do this at the 'time of knowing'-meaning that they can do this purely if a person is under SUSPICION, but there is no EVIDENCE available to support the action-and they will be protected from privacy violation lawsuits.
Just like there is a #StopTPP hashtag to spread awareness for protest of the Trans-Pacific Partnership on twitter, there is also #FaxBigBrother hashtag since these totalitarians are stuck in 1984.
(And yes, I'm still working on the incomplete stories-I didn't just quit writing to spread awareness and try to stop bullshit legislation.)
Are you serious?

Yes, I am not making any of this up;
An article which highlights protesters and critics' concerns.
Fax Machine Protest.
The possibility of it being delayed.
And in regards to my writing, Chapter 33 is roughly 85% percent complete-if nothing else my frustration with these issues should help to properly convey the anger and brutality between the characters involved.
