And it's not in your face about the fact that you can pay. It's just there in the store, if you want to go there.

While mgs is an exception I really doubt most game companies will have as many good intentions with their games.

hearthstone is also a good example of relatively well executed microtransactions, it's a card game and usually with those you need to buy packs or else you can't play at all, but you can also play the game entirely for free (although you'll usually get crushed until you get enough packs from doing quests)
