Turning comics into stories · 1:26am Dec 1st, 2015
I have several stories in my head that I'd love to post here, but for one problem: I always conceptualized them as comics, first and foremost. I've been trying to "translate" them into story format, with debatable success. Has anyone else felt this way?
I lack your artistic talent, so I very rarely think in terms of what would make a good comic. Here's my suggestion: instead of trying to convert the ideas over in your head, draw the comic first and then use it as a storyboard of sorts for the fic.
If you still have trouble after that, shoot me a message. I'd be happy to try to help you out.
Totally understand your predicament Sue. I work form a very emotional and visual base, 'gut writing' as I like to call it and the hardest aspects of it is translating images and sensations into words. Some stories are easier than others, others .
I can see where your coming from really. That's why I draw and avoid writing.
