One thing this site lacks is a way to make quick status updates. Probably just as well; I'm getting more and more tired of Facebook's constant drama and outrage. :derpytongue2:

Anyhow, just got done with my final round of ASE testing, and I got a proverbial gold star: I am now, once again, an ASE certified Master Mechanic.

So naturally, I'm at the Clannagh Pub, drinking a pint of Guinness to celebrate.

I could have drowned my sorrows in that same pint, so it was really a win/win situation.

*Huggles* congratulations!

So how else are you planning on celebrating? A single pint seems hardly enough for something this important.

Thanks!

I dunno what else I might do. Buy a cake, maybe.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Certifications are always a good thing, (except for when you're certifiably insane> :pinkiecrazy:

...Thanks for that input, Pinkie. Ahem. Especially a certification in something as reliably in-demand as automotive repair.
I hope this leads to prosperity and all that.

:pinkiegasp: CONGRATULATIONS! :pinkiehappy: *Insesrt a party cannon going off*

Congrats! :pinkiehappy:
Maybe it's your choice of images but I first read "drinking a pint of Guinness to celebrate" as drinking a pint of Genius..... Darn my brain :rainbowlaugh::derpyderp1:

Many, many congratulations Georg! How long until you need to do it all over again?

Thanks!

It'd probably be easier to be certifiably insane than uncertifiably so :derpytongue2:

I hope this leads to prosperity and all that.

In the short term, I get nothing (the only possible promotion at my current location is to 'owner'). In the long term, though, if I want to go somewhere else, the certificate opens up a whole lot of doors.

That's how I always feel. Bartender came up, said 'what'll you have?'; I looked him right in the eye and said 'pint of Guinness.' He said 'good man,' and went to make my drink.

Thanks!

You were right about seeing the blog first :pinkiehappy:

A pint of genius would be almost as good.

I wish I was Georg :raritycry: Alas, sorry to disappoint. Anyhow, the certs are good for five years.

Congratulations to one of my favorite Fimfic authors!

Well congratulations, pardner. :ajsmug:

Good on ya, dude!

I am *so*, *so* embarrassed, sorry about that. I was reading a story of his just before responding to your post :(

5 years is pretty good - it certs go for 2 years nowadays before you have to recertify.

Thank you!

Well congratulations, pardner.

Thanks! If only it came with a huge pay raise. . . .

Ah, it's all good. I got a chuckle out of it.

5 years is pretty good - it certs go for 2 years nowadays before you have to recertify.

Probably because your stuff changes faster than ours. There's a longer lead time in the automotive world, and our methods of diagnosis and repair are typically much different than yours.

3601465 I have to go for my Latent Print Boards re-certification 18 months from now, You have my fullest sympathy...
