First up, I would like to apologise for the huge delay on the second chapter of A Personal Obligation.
It's just that I suddenly realised that I'm hugely dissatisfied with the direction that I had planned for the plot to take, and considering that this story has gotten a lot more attention than I was really expecting I want to nip this in the bud now rather than blunder my way through it and terminally stuff it up.
So I promise that APO will return with some semblance of regularity just as soon as I've sorted this out.
And as fun fact on the side I started writing this as a response to a competition held by Kits not so long ago, but as the story sort of grew in the telling and I knew that I wasn't going make the deadline I decided to expand it into something more interesting (the keen observer will note that these rushed origins are the source of my current plot related grief). But as I was sort of saying, you guys should go check out the stories that did make it into the competition while I attempt to wrangle my own fic into some vague form of quality storytelling.
So like...
I was bumming around Shipping, trying to find AppleShy because there isn't enough, and I stumbled across APO. I haven't read it yet, because I need to be at work very soon and twins demand attention, but I just wanted to you to know I was kinda floored reading this. I'm totally reading it once you finish your edits and stuff. I assume teh current version is teh one you're having issues with?
Anyway, know that i'm totally gonna wallow in this sooner rather than later.
World needs more AppleShy. Check story, find AppleShy and grin. See it's short, and only has one chapter? Sadface. Check frontpage on a whim; see this blogpost.
I'm very happy now. I'll read the chapter that's posted up and leave a comment there once I finish my current project. Yay for possibly-another-AppleShy story! There's so damn little'o this!

As for the fic itself, I've sorted the plot issues mentioned above and am back to actually writing it, so there will be more soon.

As for inspiring APO, I'm totally thrilled to have inspired something that looks so fun and huggable. That's worth a whole heck-of-a-lot right there. I look forward to reading it~
414446 Oh goodness, haha. That's quite the coincidence! Or, well, a roundabout causality thing since I sniffed out out because of AppleShy, and Kits and I apparently travel in pack, but no matter. I'm tremendously happy to hear you've got issues sorted, and I'm eagerly awaiting more!
