Eighty eight is a wonderful number. If you rotate it around, it's the same, and of course it's the same forwards and backwards. It's also—if you're into math—untouchable.
If you aren't into math but are into ponyfic, it's also the number of stories on this account. Or it will be, once it passes moderation.
I'd meant to publish this on Christmas, but I'm not very good at meeting deadlines. Then I decided it would be okay to push it back to Boxing Day, which would have been appropriate since Sam is Canadian (bet you hadn't guessed that); however, I would up not being very productive on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning since one of the guys at the group home where I was working stayed up all night waiting for Santa. Right until he collapsed from exhaustion on his bedroom floor (which was the opportunity Santa [i.e., me]) was waiting for.
The story was pre-read by MSPiper, AShadowOfCygnus, and Topaz Moon. As is my wont, I changed a bunch of stuff and added a new section in before publishing, so if there are any awful mistakes, it's totally my fault. You'd think by now I'd know not to do that, but . . . I don't.
As I have been doing on these stories, a blog post will be coming along after the final chapter is published, rather than with each chapter.
I could give you a sneak preview while you wait, but patience is a virtue. Or something. What I can do, though, is direct you to an additional Sam and Rose story which you may have missed, 'cause I was all sneaky-like when I published it.
November was a one-shot which I published in my mini One-Shot-Ober collection. It takes place a ways down the timeline. So I guess it really is a sneak peek, since the main story hasn't caught up to it yet.

Well, if nothing else you could add Not Another One-Shot-Ober to the shelf and put a note in the description. Or maybe link to November from one of the stories that's already in the shelf if you don't want to deal with collections, I guess.

How strange. There's a delay in posting, I wonder if it's accessible on the author's page before it gets posted to the front page, if it's passed moderation? I feel that I once commented on a story by an author I follow that hadn't been on the feed yet.

One of these days, I'm going to make a nice, handy table of contents for all my fics. Title, brief description (if it hasn't already got one), list of characters, and so on. I think I have a dozen or so collection fics (Not another X, Prompt-A-Day, OPP Side Stories [which are at least all the same theme], Half-Baked Biscuits) and a few stories out in collabs or other places. But it's gonna be a lot of work, especially if it's fully indexed and has all links.
