    Nuzlocke reborn

Yes, that's right, I am restarting my Nuzlocke challenge. With two crashes under my belt, I'm thinking third time's the charm. I will be running through Pokemon Diamond Version just like the first attempt, with all the rules in-place and as follows:

If one of your Pokemon faints, you must release it... it's dead.

Skill trees and viewer opinions · 1:26am Jan 14th, 2016

As many of you know, The skill trees for the Borderlands 2 Starlight DLC Pack story are finished.

That means the group can level up with your votes as the story progresses, meaning you, the audience, get to determine the characters' playstyles (to a point) dependent on which skills you choose for them.

But in order for this to work, my editor and I would like you to review the skill trees. Tell us what you think! See the character sheets here and discuss it with us as well as your fellow readers.

Seriously though, we want feedback. As much as we can get. Don't ignore us, it makes us sad.

Please, please, please comment! We want to know what you think!

Any questions, comments, etc. are welcome, just drop 'em here and Pie or I will answer you to the best of our abilities.

Oh my God! :rainbowlaugh:

That Jet Fuel ability! :rainbowlaugh:

How did you come up with the skill trees?

3693175
I sat down and came up with the three base trees by their archetype, then figured out a few skills that fit the tree, THEN I came up with specific names for abilities and the trees themselves.
Edit: I did this for each character individually, by the way. They're based on jokes, puns, and memes I thought fit the characters

A lot of people seem to be having trouble asking questions. Here's one to give you an idea of how it works.

"Hey, I have a question!"
[This part is very important!]

"Ain't No Hero says:"

Anthony and his party members gets +50% more experience and money rewards for completing quests.

"My question is, does this only boost the experience you get from completing quests, or does it also work with killing enemies?"

3694291
And then I (most likely) would be the one to reply, with:

"No, it only refers to reward money and experience from quests, though quest-generated money (such as from the train robbery) will also be improved."

Discussion on what's better is always welcome, as well.

Thank you.

Any comments or questions or anything? I'd love to discuss.

3695044 Maybe, you're the editor/cowriter right? What is your favourite part of working on this/these story/ies?

3695198
Yes.
Getting to see what you guys make of my ideas. I don't hear from you often, though, most comments are just 'that was funny!' 'I can't wait for the next chapter!' And the like.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about the story.

3695879 I am/was a fan of the pre-Refined Starlight and of Redshift. I am getting into this story though. This story hasn't been around for as long as the other two, so it hasn't really ironed out the kinks yet. I like it, but I like the other two more. Be that as it may, it is a great story in terms of story and characters.

Now, actual review for it and not comparing. I like how they start at lower levels than the main six(heh). Most stories don't do that, or do so in the most ridiculous way and have them never catch up. That's a point in my book. I like how they have gone to both new and old locations(In terms of the main six). Also, this story isn't just Borderlands with different characters. It has a different flow from Borderlands while still keeping the Borderlands feel. I can feel the personality of the characters in the situations they are in. Also, I like how fast Dash is getting in the vehicles. It's cool.

Negative Section(sadly): Anthony showing up and fixing most of the problems the main crew go through is seeming a little 'character with knowledge of future events fixes everything' and it is a little off-putting. How he knows the perfect way to fix everything is kinda not accurate. Just my personal opinion though.

I hope you take this into consideration, because it would make a great story even greater(in my opinion of course).

*cackles evilly*
Oh don't worry, we've taken that into consideration. This is real life after all, and they've only been around for two days. Jack hasn't had time to change his plans around the new arrivals.
Jack won't necessarily follow the script we know.

Neither will the Vault Hunters.
It's gonna be good.

3696302 Yeah, as Quantum states, Anthony only knows what is scripted and is incredibly genre savvy. If Jack does something new he's never expected, he's going to be thrown for a loop. Which will happen, just not this early. But they will get to a point where they take completely different paths from the main Vault Hunters and he no longer knows exactly what to do based on memory.

He's also there to help the ponies get over the initial 'n00b' phase without much hassle either. Most of us just ask the internet for help when we get stuck in a game... but since that's not an option it's good to have someone who can explain to the 'new' characters things they need to know.

It removes the hassle of having them have to learn everything the hard way, or just seem to innately know how things work out of nowhere.

3696332 Okay. Good to know. I'm glad it won't just be the script of Borderlands 2 with ponies. I am exited for new chapters now. Excellent...
3696747 Thank Go...odness!

Who knows, there could be some extremely fourth wall breaking character to give them tips *wink wink nudge nudge* (:rainbowlaugh:).

Some stories do the innately knowing everything step decently. Not all though.

It's cool how both of you are active in your following. I guess I am the first person commenting in-depth here though, so... meh. I did see you pieman when you had the first story (SiaBV). You replied to the comments that were decent comments on there.

3696795
Oh, the script is still there, its just that things will deviate once the ripples in this little Pond-ora build into notable waves.

But yeah, we're pretty active in our community, because we want there to BE a community.

3696999 Okay , that's good.

As is this. G'day *tips his hat and stumbles away*

Will Refined Starlight in a Broken Vessel ever actually end?

3721832 Sure... eventually. Probably when I finally kick the bucket.
