    *checks watch* Oh. It's 2014.

It would seem that my penchant for authoring quasi-satirical stories about colorful equines has come to a... gradual decline.

I didn't feel comfortable writing anything new until that whole "Twilight gets wings" story arc was settled. That was back in the middle of 2012. Now it's the middle of 2014--and I'm still waiting!

    The Antichrist Arrives Gangnam Style!

It seems we have a new prophet foretelling the coming of the Antichrist--and it's revealed to him through Gangnam Style:

This guy's 100% serious, and it's arguably even more ludicrous than my story about the Antichrist being foretold through My Little Pony.

    Poe's Law strikes again.

Andrea Libman and "My Ride to Conquer Cancer"

In recent months, I've intentionally stayed away from the fan fiction scene to focus on more important things in life. However, after watching last weekend's Everfree Northwest event, I feel the need to step in for a moment and express my desire to see Andrea Libman's "My Ride to Conquer Cancer" fundraiser endeavor become a success.

    Turmoil in the Toybox

I try not to post to this blog too often, but I feel compelled to share this story.

I was watching the American Idol finale yesterday, and the winner ended up being Phil Phillips. Phil Phillips. Where had I heard that name before?

Don't drink and write and fan fiction...

...or you may just end up writing a My Little Pony shipping fic. That's what happened to me just now.

On the other hand, the drinking method seemed to work out pretty well for the guy who wrote The Lost Weekend, so... I guess what I'm trying to say is drink all you want (within legal boundaries, of course, kiddies).

Andrea Libman and "My Ride to Conquer Cancer" · 5:24am Aug 21st, 2012

In recent months, I've intentionally stayed away from the fan fiction scene to focus on more important things in life. However, after watching last weekend's Everfree Northwest event, I feel the need to step in for a moment and express my desire to see Andrea Libman's "My Ride to Conquer Cancer" fundraiser endeavor become a success.

"It's true some days are dark and lonely," Pinkie Pie sings in "A Friend in Deed." Even this colorful, pink pony knows that life has its share of problems, and some of them can't be avoided. However, she also knows those problems can be challenged and perhaps even overcome when friends work together with a "smile, smile, smile."

We have an opportunity here to demonstrate that concepts like laughter, kindness, and generosity are more than just lofty ideals stemming from a children's television program. Let's put those ideas into action, and perhaps by doing so we can make Ms. Libman "smile as wide as a mile."

Thanks for listening.
