So, yeah. It's been a while. I've been busy with life stuff, job stuff, and working on some other things, including a new project... Which is what I want to talk about.
I thought I'd be sadder when MLP's finale got here. But, I'm not.
I mean, I'm kinda sad, but not as sad as when OK KO ended. Maybe it's because I saw the spoilers already. Maybe it's because Gen five is right around the corner. Maybe it's because, despite the ending, the fandom is going to live on.
Or maybe it's because I've long since abandoned canon in place of my own.
I've been watching a lot of Devil May Cry related videos(mainly about 5) and I've always had this interest in writing a story where Flash Sentry is half-demon. I don't think this is by accident...
Also, listening to Silver Bullet and watching the Nero vs Vergil battle caused this exchange.
3717514 Not particularly, although I do sing a number of showtunes. Really, anything that fits my range. I'm a Johnny Cash fan, so I can sing a good bit of him. I also have a few more classical-type music in my repertoire.
I also like music from games. Not the bleepy bloopy stuff, stuff that sounds like real instruments. Someone took the crap midi music from Doom and replaced it with better tunes.
3718012 Did you know that Johnny Cash did a cover of a Nine Inch Nails song that was so good it had Trent Reznor go whoa?
3718681 You mean video game music like that found in The Shadow of the Colossus? I myself love all sorts of video game OSTs.
Yes, I'm well aware. That's one of the most iconic covers by Johnny Cash and probably the most famous of his recordings under Rick Rubin. I believe Mr. Reznor was quoted saying "That's not my song anymore."
I love to sing.
3717173 Really? That's cool.
Is there a certain genre you prefer?
