    Merry Christmas, all!

My track record with Christmas releases is no longer perfect, but I do try! Only one 5k chapter of Sharing the Nation this year, though I'm hoping to have 5k more out before the new year. To make up for it, though, I've also brought out the Harry Potter crossover that's been languishing in

    Nothing this year, sorry

Man, this has been… a year. Shortly after my last blog post, I had some (non-covid) medical issues that somewhat took over my life for a while, and while that's all in the past now, I'm only back where I was beforehand—completely unproductive. I was determined to get back into things at NaNoWriMo, but work steamrolled those plans and I just haven't been able to find the words to write something

More burned out than I thought

Jeeze, it's been four months since I decided not to force myself to generate updates for the sake of Patreon and gave myself the freedom to write whatever I wanted… but I haven't really written anything. I've done a thousand words or so here and there to play around with other fandoms, but nothing of significance.

    Shocking, I know.

Tis the season for status updates. Not as much the other kind of updates as I would like, though

It wouldn't be Christmas if I hadn't been completely incommunicado for at least a month or two beforehand, right?

Unfortunately, I don't have chapters of Sharing the Nation to post for Christmas this year. I do have some Equal Opportunity Ascension chapters that only Patreon has seen, and I'll post those, I guess, but it's clear this… isn't working.

    Christmas Updates!

    Merry Christmas!

As I've done every year since I started writing, I have updates here for you on Christmas day.

( It might look like there's a missing one, but the chapter for Sharing the Night that year was taken down and reposted)

Life Update · 7:19pm Mar 20th, 2016

So, you know how I missed my January update, pushing the the next chapter of Sharing the Night to march, and promised I'd do my level best to make that happen? Yeah, umm… I'm not saying it won't happen, but it's not looking good.

I'm moving.

Not only am I moving, but I'm moving halfway across the continent, and I'm doing so with several other people who have a lot of stuff. 'A lot' meaning one 40′ shipping container might not be enough. We might need two. Not only that, but when we get there, there will be renovating to do, as well as some outright building if I have anything to say about it.

Suffice it so say, I'm going to be busy and tired, and I don't know how much writing I'll be in the mood for. I will try, though, if only for the fact that I don't even know when things will ease up again, and I'm not about to put my stories on hiatus. Plus, there's the Patreon money which would be a big help, so that's working as intended.

Anyway, that's about the long and short of it. There may or may not be a short for the first; it depends on whether or not I can come up with any worthwhile ideas.

Good luck with the move, hope it all goes smoothly. I eagerly await your return.

Moving is the worst thing ever. My wife and I have moved nine times in the last thirteen years, and are preparing to do it again, and it only gets harder. I'd offer assistance, but the odds of being even remotely close to nearby enough to be useful are slim to none, so instead I'll just wish you the best... try to stay sane, don't sweat the small stuff, and we'll see you when we see you.

Well moving sucks and – FWIW from a freshly-minted minion – you have my sincere sympathies, especially with that warehouse-amount of stuff you have to pack and haul and unpack. I've done that cross-country move hauling only a packed 14' truck, car trailer, and my poor drugged kittie - twice - and it isn't what I'd describe as 'the most fun I've ever had since that root canal'. So I don't envy you a tiny bit.

Just stay safe, take care of yourself, and get your life settled, jah? I don't doubt that your fans will wait.

Entirely understandable. Here's hoping the move goes smoothly. (Plus, this gives me more time to read the latest chapter. :twilightsheepish:)

May things go well with the move!

Ah, good luck!

Dang, that's quite the move. Good luck to you!

Good luck and safe travels to you and yours.

That is indeed a lot of things. I hope most of it is furniture that doesn't stack well otherwise that is indeed A LOT OF THINGS. Well deal with life and then, when exhausted from physical labor, let your mind wander towards the creative. Maybe the move will end up inspiring more ideas. Or not. Either way I will gladly wait to see your return when you're ready.

Well, that's disappointing but quite understandable. Good luck with the move, last time I had to to do that, I never did find everything I packed up again.

Life happens and fantasy can wait a bit. I wish you well on a safe move with low stress.

Uhhh... Good luck?

Why do you need 2 shipping containers of stuff? This baffles me...
Could just be because I don't really own anything, though...

I, personally, absolutely do not need two shipping containers worth of stuff, but then I also don't personally own what's basically a small machine shop in my second garage…

Nevertheless, the offer is attractive enough for me to go along with it and all that it entails. We'll see how it goes.

3818928 Alright, fair enough. Good luck with that, I suppose.
