Marvel: Jeremy Renner says taking Hawkeye to Netflix could be "a really great" idea · 4:13am Mar 21st, 2016
While speaking at Silicon Valley Comic Con, Jeremy Renner, who plays Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said he'd be open to doing a Netflix series focusing on Barton in a manner similar to Daredevil and Jessica Jones:
“I think that’s actually a really great model, if there’s ever a way to explore the character, maybe it’s in that world,” he said, according to ComicBook.com. “These are things that are really not in my control, but I’d be open to it. I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore the character more recently. The Netflix model is where all the character drama goes to now, you’re doing a superhero movie or a Netflix or HBO kind of model. So I’d be open to it.”
What say you, my people? Would you be game for a Netflix series focusing on Clint Barton?
I would definitely say yes to that. He hasn't been very developped in the movies and, frankly, I don't see that happening in the future. Which is a shame, because in every other rendition of Marvel, Hawkeye is my favourite character.
I think giving him his own TV show could work out pretty well, as long as it's done right (and as long as we get Black Widow sometimes). I also hope that, what would happen in the show doesn't effect the movies too much.
