Hey you! Yes you! Do you have a story idea you'd like written with professional quality, high, realistic detail, and actual formatting and chapters. How about a very interactive writing experience in which the author will offer suggestions to improve your story and in which a lot of time and effort goes into creating them as best as possible by me, the author? I can do that!
I am opening conditional, paid-only commissions. If you like my stories and would like one written in a similar style, here's your chance!
How to get a Commission:
First, PM me on this site for what you would like written (see below for my preferred format) so I can get thinking about the story. Comments regarding commissions on my profile page or stories will be deleted and I will PM you instead. I profess in romance/clop one-shots, but could give other genres a try with varying results (at my discretion).
Commission slots are on a first come, first serve basis and I will only actively work on 2 stories at any given time. No special favors for anybody. If my two slots for active writing are filled, you will be put on a queue and be taken in order as slots open (unless it's a short one-shot or an 'easy' commission, on my discretion).
I request there are to be no due dates expected of me. It gets done when it gets done, as I cannot force myself to write if I don't 'feel it' unless you want lower-quality work.
Your commission message should read something like this:
Commissioner Name: This is the name you want me to put under the commissioner thank-you in the credits. It can be your screen name, or I can also put anonymous if you prefer I not use your screen name.
Commission Request/Details: This is where you will tell me your idea with as much summary and detail as possible: what you’re looking for; what the plot is about, what characters you want to use, setting, what opening/ending you want, etc. The more detailed the request, the easier it will be for me to write the commission to your tailoring. If you keep it vague, I’ll have no choice but to write it how I feel it's best. If you don’t care about the nitty-gritty details, just say something along the lines of such in your opening or subsequent message. As a note, I tend to 'do my own thing' in some details, adding extra scenes that seem to fit, but will always include exactly what I'm asked to. Please see the 'Guidelines for Content' section below for more details on what I will/won't write.
Also, I hold the right to deny writing any commission at any time during the writing. If I don’t want to write it, I will not write it. See 'Guidelines for Content' below for more details.
Word Count/Payment: What is the word range you want the story to be? My standard fee for feral, official show-based, main/established characters is $15 US Dollars per 1,000 words*, as I put a LOT of work into my stories and spend many hours into researching, planning, and editing/discussing it with the commissioner before and after posting, as well as including a pre-writing synopsis and possibly cover-art for the story. RATES ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE.
* - If a pony-sona/Original Character** is the focus, or the shipping is an unusual or uncomfortable one [by my definitions, and/or will require me learning extensively more about obscure character(s) or actually creating one, including background characters with no official or commonly-acceped fanon personality], or if involving anthro-ponies or 'Equestria Girls' in a major/lead role, the rate will be $17 per 1,000 words, as I do not really enjoy writing this subject matter, and/or I have to use a character which I'm not familiar with, or have to create myself.
** - Stories with any personal Pony-sona/OC (pony only; no self-inserts or HiE) are accepted under the condition that said OC's personalities can be somewhat generalized to the descriptions given and that I don't have to get them 'spot-on perfect' in your eyes, or that I am permitted to form my own OC for the part.
Any stories I deem to be uncomfortable for me to write, but are within my guidelines or that I may agree to write outside of them, will be $20/1k words.
Please keep in mind I write in a very detailed manner, and most stories (save one-shots) will likely be 10,000~20,000+ words, depending on act(s) depicted and if extensive build-up is desired.

Genre and Rating: What genre do you want your story to be, and what rating? If it's to be rated Mature, you must be 18+ years old, or your state's or country's legal age for purchasing/viewing pornographic content. Any 'clop', or stories involving graphic or prevelent sexual content, will automatically be rated 'Mature'. I will generally only write 'Mature' stories, or 'Teen' in some circumstances. LEGAL DISCLAIMER: I am not to be held legally responsible for anything regarding my commissions/commissioners in this respect.
Specific Details: If there is a specific detail, or something you want the character to say or do specifically in the story that needs to be in there no matter what, say so. If you don't tell me you want it, I obviously can't add it.
Cover art: I will include, at my discretion, a cover-art for your story automatically and at no extra charge, generally involving another's work(s) modified by me personally, or which I may make myself, to fit the story's theme. I may also just choose a fitting piece of artwork unedited. You may request I use one chosen by you, or that I do not use one at all if you so choose.
Writing and Publishing:
When I am ready to write your fic, or when I accept the commission, I will alert you and I will request half of the price for the originally requested word-count when I start writing as a sign of your commitment, then the remaining half (or new total, if more words are requested or required during writing) after it's completed and/or published. You don’t have to send me any money until I say I’m ready to work on the fic, and you can contact me via PM on FIMFic for details on your commission at any time during its development, or for you to add more details on what you'd like for me to add as I write it. I will always get back to you ASAP.
Keep in mind I may be asking multiple questions or giving suggestions throughout the writing process via PM if I get an idea for the story and will seek your approval on it. I prefer having a degree of tossing ideas back and forth with my commissioners so they can get exactly what they want, or even better. Naturally, you may refuse any suggestions and offer your own ideas in place, or have me stick to the planned-out script.
Once I complete the rough draft (the first 3,000~8,000+ word 'chapter' if the commission is longer than that, or the complete work for one-shots), I’ll give you a link containing it to look over. If you want any changes let me know, or, if you approve of it, I’ll continue editing and polishing it pre-and/or-post-publish. Once the original word limit is reached, if further writing past the original amount is desired, I will request the subsequent payment(s) at every 5,000, 10,000, or 15,000 word increment (or other increment or amount we agree on), or when each chapter is done (for the number of words written: I.E a 6,000 chapter will go for the standard rate, in this sample $15, multiplied by six, ending up at $90.) Once payment for that chapter or word-count is complete, I'll continue writing until the next segment is done, or the project is completed.
NOTE: I will only edit to a certain extent. If the number of re-writes or large edits are stupidly excessive, I'll refuse to further edit or will charge additional payment for the additional edits. Do not take this to mean I won't fix any spelling/grammatical mistakes I made, but I am only human and can only fix or heavily modify something so many times before it becomes mind-breakingly monotonous.
After your commission is written, do you want me to actually publish this story on Fimfiction.net, or do you simply want it to be yours alone? If published on FIMFic, you will receive credit that you commissioned it from me, and it will be posted on my account http://www.fimfiction.net/user/LegionofPony). If you don’t want me to, then I’ll give you the link to the fic on FIMFic or Gdocs and you can have exclusive access to it. If you’re gonna post it somewhere other than FIMFic.net however, I would like to be told where it's being posted and have my name (LegionofPony) credited for it, and a link to my FIMFic profile included in its description or as a header to the story's first chapter.
If you want to commission me again after one commission is completed, you will be at the end of the queue line, if applicable. I will not take two fics from one person at the same time unless my queue is clean or I have an open slot not spoken for, sorry.
Refunds: I will not issue refunds unless I myself decide to cancel the commission, or I am legally required to. BE SURE you want me to write for you BEFORE you message me and pay to avoid any unwanted complications (I know I don't want them!). If you commissioned me, sent partial payment, and I am actively writing on or have completed the story, the deal is done, period.

Sequels, prequels, spin-offs or side stories to other fics that already exist and that I have not written; official or unofficial. IE: no spinoff to My Little Dashie with Applejack instead, or Past Sins with Nyx as a dragoness instead. If you want that, that's the original author's position to write them, not mine

In general, anything based on another piece of existing art* (fanfic, a copyrighted book, movie, or anything like that) word for word as released, IE. Pride and Prejudice with ponies, or the story of Carrie happening in Equestria Girl's Canterlot High.

Depends on the involved ponies, and if I view the request as such. I mainly mean huge size differences, I.E a 10-foot-tall pony against a normal-sized pony. That's the nice thing about writing commissions: you get to choose what you accept, and get to choose what falls in the 'no' category.

I misread at first, sorry. I request half up front when I'm ready to actually start writing, we've decided on the plotline and details, and I have a full synopsis written up, not when someone is first put on the queue.
That said, regarding payment, that depends on how long the commission is. If it's short (10k or fewer words), I'll usually request half up front for the whole project, while if it's 10k+ words, it's usually easier for the commissioner to pay per chapter instead of a huge lump sum all at once. I'm pretty flexible about payment times too!
