If it's completely separate, then there's no good argument against it IMHO. Those who want a good, mostly-family-friendly story can just not read the cloppy sidestory.

I'm torn. This reads like University Days, with a simple ending in bedroom then next chapter blushing and cuddles. Which made that a great story for me. Then I found University Nights, the two sub chapters, and they enhanced (for me) the story. Were they needed? No, they weren't. Yet, the tentative exploration of the new couple enhanced the overall feel of the rest.

With your style of writing, I would very much enjoy Twilight and Dash being intimate. Yet, it's entirely up to you. And if you decide against it, hey that's cool, I'll continue to obsess over this... And My Filly Nightshine.
