It is my great conceit that I can write interesting stories for utter strangers and maybe sometime in the far far future get paid for it.

    I'm back

Windows 10 had some problems with my network so I had to take it out back and give it the Ol Yeller treatment.
Got a new puppy, Windows 11.
Hopefully, it won't savage my ankles.

    Onto posting stuff.

    July 2023 Update

    Diablo IV Season 1:
    Corruption is spreading!

    The Season of Flatulence.
    Silent but deadly.
Believe us it will be a gas!
    Gaslighting is encouraged.

Buy a Taco Hell, Beastly Burrito to join.

    Ok, that's enough.

After a millisecond of consideration, I've decided to post MLP fanfics that I kept on DeviantArt here.
May Celestia have mercy on your, um, they're not that bad.

    Ponyger

We sat in the North Garden under the cooling shade of the gazebo. The air was warm, and full of the sleepy buzz of no so busy bees. I sat and looked at the half-empty pitcher of ice tea, and thought about what I was going to say next.

    Ghostwire Tokyo

    What is Ghostwire Tokyo?

In a nutshell, its a buddy ghost busting game.

You get to bust ghosts without having a nuclear reactor on your back.
No worries about crossing streams either.

It's a buddy game because it's like those movies where they pair two different folks,
and they have to work together. One person knows more than the other person who has a totally different skillset.

June Status Report · 8:53pm Jun 24th, 2016

Let's begin with project statuses.

Gleaner Chronicles:
Yes, there is a sequel in the works. It's up to chapter twelve.

I heard that it's better to write out the whole story first and fix it up before posting.
I just worry that the story might be too self indulgent without someone to rein it in.
And there's the stuff about sequels not being as popular as originals. Whatever.

Gleaners is probably going to be four novels worth of story. Look out James Patterson!

Seriously, the guy is everywhere in the children's section.
Children's fiction.
YA (Young Adult)
He's even doing graphic novels.

The good news is I know where to go at a high level, it's just the details that need writing out.
I don't really pants out my stories, I develop the outline in my head and follow with that.

Now, I need to find my editor and get back to fixing up the first book.
Then I can post the last chapter for Gleaners Chronicles.

Then I get to post the updated story to DA.
The tide of tedium will be overwhelming.

The Division+MLP+Warhammer: Vermintideish story.

Work is being done on that. You can read about it in my previous blog.
I'm still banging away on that. First person feels strange. I don't get to show stuff outside the main char.
Sometimes that feels a bit limiting.

I've been seriously toying with basically not doing a crossover and just take elements from The Division/ Warhammer Vermintide. Warhammer VM doesn't really have a story other than chaos rats attack. Cross overs are a pain and when you add having to comply with fanfiction canon, well, it just makes things harder. Screw being macho, I want to tell a good story and adding extra complications just makes for more trouble. Also too much stuff can confuse readers.

I probably will write a few chapters, get an editor and post a few chapters and see if there is interest. I really shouldn't care if readers want the story or not but I'm already in the middle of a long story.

My original stuff is taking a back seat to the pony stuff which is weird.

Oh yeah, I need a title.

The curious incident of the two crossed pencils

The up and downvotes bug me. The numbers are not like what I usually get.
I was thinking about writing a series using these chars so I need to know what's wrong.

Aeluna found some issues but I think there is more wrong with the story than that.
I will fix up the stuff she mentioned and get another editor unless the previous one comes back.
I thought I was improving but this story proves that idea wrong. Maybe?

Am I losing my short story writing skills?

Shout out to Aeluna.
