Well, I've heard back from the EQD pre-readers about Pinkie Pie Meets the Universe!
The bad news is that my story was turned down, but the good news is that it was purely for technical reasons: some formatting errors, ellipses overuse, and basically a bunch of minor things that added up to a big thing.
The pre-reader in question was very helpful, however, and also said that he immensely enjoyed the story itself. I've just finished ironing out all the kinks he mentioned, and am going to give it one more thorough read-over to make sure I caught everything.
Really I should have been more thorough in vetting it myself after transferring it over from DeviantArt; I let my over-eagerness to get it submitted to EQD get the better of me. Live and learn, however, and after I'm done with these revisions, it should be accepted without a problem.
Learn from my mistake, ladies and gents: anything worth doing takes time!
