No, I myself am not going on a hiatus. However, my story Equestria Girls (How I Would Have Done It) is. No, it isn't because of negative comments or the ratio of likes to dislikes. That stuff really doesn't bother me because I write for me and not for the praise of others. I have two reasons for this hiatus:
1.) I'm not 100% happy with where the story is at at the moment. I'm going to rewrite a couple chapters and work through the next several chapters before I continue in hopes of getting this going in the direction I want it to. The elements are going to stay the same, just a slight shift in the plot.
2.) I am extremely busy. School's been pretty busy for me and my Sociology class is about to start up. On top of school I am trying to keep up writing for here and a story on FanFiction.net, along with making art for DeviantArt. I don't have the time to sit down and re-work something in a day or two to be able to get this story going again. It's probably going to take me a few weeks to get this done, but I hope to get this story back up and running by the end of November.
As for how long this hiatus will last, like I said, hopefully only a handful of weeks. I hope to get back to it as soon as possible as I am very excited about this story. I have so many plans for the plot and for the characters, I just need some time to get it going in the direction I want it to.
So sorry I missed this, I didn't realize you had posted another blog. As for the hiatus: do what you need to do. Your readers can wait. My sister and I - your biggest fans and supporters, if I may say
- can wait, too.
I can empathize with you about how school can, and is, often very time consuming (though I can barely imagine what college life is like for you). Under the circumstances, I am amazed that you have been able to write and keep up multiple stories at one time, while also releasing tons of artwork on top of juggling everyday life. Can I have your autograph?
In the meantime, I will greatly anticipate your story's rebirth and I can't wait to read it!
