Day X, 2016
Final Fantasy still has me in its clutches and refuses to let me go. My fridge is empty and I'm hungry. For the first time in over six years, there have been days where I haven't even turned on my computer. I feel disconnected. Four days of availability, 47 hours logged.
Expedition planned into the unknown lands of thubper-mar keet, scavenging for food is by now the only option left to me. The rescue party should arrive on sunday/monday, they will try to rehabilitate me into the normal world again.
Will probably start to write words again after...
JFC I just did the math, and that's like, 12 hours of game time every day! Send Help!
One of us! One of us! One of us!
Yep. Final Fantasy will do that to you.
When Fallout 4 came out, I did pretty much the same thing. Considering it was summer break and I didn't have a job at the time (even though I really should have been looking for one...) , I ended up playing something like 12-14 hours a day for about a week before I finally started letting up (helped by realizing that my food supplies had dwindled from a modestly stocked fridge to one packet of ramen noodles)
Over watch, this is Rescue One Actual. No sighting on the target this sector. We've got several empty food wrappers and some form of primitive entertainment device.
Moving to sector 15-b now. Over
